Funny Questions You Shouldn't Be Afraid to Ask Your Builder:
1. Is it okay if I change my mind about the tiles/paint/electrics... again?
Why ask: Renovations are full of decisions, and sometimes you just need to see it one more time to be sure. Don’t worry - we get it. We’re pros at pivoting. Just don’t be surprised if we suggest building you a throne for all those big decisions you have to make!
2. If I bring coffee every day, will that speed up the work?
Why ask: While coffee might not technically speed up the build, keeping everyone caffeinated and happy never hurts. Builders appreciate a good brew as much as the next person and everyone knows coffee and snacks are the real fuel behind any project.
3. Can I keep that weird wall niche for my wine collection?
Why ask: Yes. Strange architectural quirks might look useless, but we can get creative and turn it into a talking point / functional feature. Plus, who wouldn’t want a cool LED-light-up wine nook? So yes, always ask us for ideas, we love to help.
4. Can you promise me my neighbours won’t hate me forever?
Why ask: From early-morning drills to waste skips in communal areas, renovations aren’t exactly neighbourly. We know how to keep things smooth – we always suggest contacting neighbours to let them know what’s about to happen, and inviting them round for a coffee once your project’s finished. It’s a great way of getting to know them better, while showing off your new kitchen in the process!
5. Do you think I can fit a slide in the house, or is that a bit much?
Why ask: Slides aren’t just for playgrounds! If you’re feeling playful (or have kids), we might just have a clever way to add something fun without compromising the design for a kids' playroom.
Construction projects might be serious, but there’s no reason you can’t ‘build’ in some laughs along the way.
