Celebrating 25 Years of Service: Amigos Europeos de Jávea Ambulance Association
This year, the Amigos Europeos de Jávea Ambulance Association is celebrating an extraordinary milestone - 25 years of unwavering dedication to the health and well-being of the Jávea and Marina Alta community.
Founded in the year 2000 by a group of passionate volunteers, the association has grown into a vital force for emergency medical services in the region, providing essential support to both locals and visitors alike.
The primary mission of Amigos Europeos de Jávea has always been to ensure quick, efficient, and compassionate emergency care. From its humble beginnings as a group of 60 friends and volunteers, the association has expanded its services, offering a range of medical assistance including emergency response ambulances, first aid training, and community health education.
Over the years, the association has relied on the support of volunteers, donors, and local businesses to continue its life-saving work. Their generosity has enabled the purchase of state-of-the-art ambulances, medical equipment, and the funding of training programs.
As Amigos Europeos de Jávea celebrates its 25th anniversary, it stands as a testament to the power of community spirit, volunteerism, and the tireless commitment of those who have worked behind the scenes.
Every 10 years, legally, each ambulance needs to be replaced, in 2024, one new ambulance was bought and in 2025, two new ambulances will need to be purchased and equipped with the latest lifesaving equipment. Looking ahead, the association is poised to continue making a positive impact for many more years to come, ensuring that the people of Jávea always have access to fast, professional, and caring emergency services.
If you are not already a member, then join the 4580 existing members of the association for only 60€ a year for the whole family. You will be in great company, Classical Opera singer Montserrat Caballé was the 1000th member, Politician and Astronaut Pedro Duque was the 2000th member and Tennis Legend David Ferrer is the 3000th member.
