Due to new regulations, the only way the nursing and rest home can continue to comply with the legal requirements and continue its license, is with a major expansion to the building. This option is not feasible and as such the directors have made the hard and sad decision to close the nursing and rest home and to focus on continuing to provide excellent care to the residents in the independent living apartments.

The village features an alarm system for urgent medical assistance and regular check-ins for single residents to prevent isolation. In addition, weekly rejuvenating chair exercise sessions and social activities promote a sense of community and belonging. A free minibus service goes daily into Calpe.
