walk your way RGBWelcome back to the world of walking Dear Walk Your Way Wellers! After a long, sweltering summer of dodging the heat, it’s finally time to dust off those walking shoes and hit the hills. Getting back into your routine doesn’t have to feel like a chore — in fact, it can be fun and refreshing! Here’s how to restart your walking program with a spring in your step.

First, embrace the fresh start. Treat yourself to a new pair of hiking boots or trail shoes. Nature always looks wonderful as Autumn comes to visit. With the right gear and a positive mindset, you’ll be ready to conquer your local trails, one step at a time. Don’t forget to ease back into it; there’s no rush. Start with shorter walks and gradually increase your distance as your body re-adjusts to the movement. It's still warm so stay hydrated and lather on the suncream.
Remember, your friends are trying to re-start after the summer too. So, why not join forces? Walking with a buddy adds a layer of fun, and time flies when you’re catching up and sharing good vibes. If you prefer solo strolls, use the time to clear your head, listen to an audio book, or soak in the beauty of the outdoors. We love all that good stuff in the Walk Your Way Well community.
To keep things exciting, switch up your routes and explore new areas. Visit parks, beaches (now that they are quiet!) and local landmarks. Setting mini-goals will keep you motivated. Whether it’s walking three days a week or hitting a certain number of steps, celebrate every milestone with a little treat. If you'd like to join any of my walks or hikes I'd simply love to be part of your fitness and emotional health journey. Our walking community is friendly and fun. And we are so excited to get stuck in after the crazy summer temperatures.
October is MADE for walking. So, don't miss out. Drop me a text on WhatsApp for more information. I also offer 1-2-1 coaching if you are feeling stuck and need some help finding ways to motivate yourself back into action.
