calpe lions femalefocusonline feb25The Calpe Benissa Lions joined with members of the Jávea, Denia, Pedreguer Lions in greeting our District Governor, Paloma Fernandez, who had travelled from Leon to visit us.

The photo shows the President of the Calpe Benissa Lions, Carole Saunders, receiving a certificate of appreciation for all the hard work the Club has done for the local community, and Valencia.
Carole explained to Paloma that with the help of the volunteers and Lions members, and valued customers and donors, the money they have made in 2024 at their second hand shop they have on Calle Pintor Sorolla,15, in Calpe has enabled the Club to donate over 25,000€ in donations to local causes. These causes include, Calpe and Benissa Caritas, the Cruz Roja Calpe, the Maite Boronat Day Centre for disabled adults, the Colegio Gargasindi, for disabled children.
The Calpe Benissa Lions has also donated so far, 4,000€ to help people affected by the flooding in Valencia.
