Stage Diary North 

 

Cantamus: The choir is looking for new members, in all voice groups, to join them. The choir sings a selection of spiritual or uplifting songs. Members are provided with all the music and tracks to learn to, so you can practice at home between rehearsals. Now would be a great time to contact Philip on 638 734 285 and he will be happy to give you all the details about the choir. They rehearse on a Monday morning 10:45 to 13:00 and will be happy to welcome you.

 

 Caprice Ladies Choir After two more successful concert appearances during October,
Caprice are now turning their attention to a new programme of songs for their Spring 2025 concerts They will also be singing at the Christmas Fayre on November 24th at Carrasco, Jávea which is in support of Friends of Children of Emaus - a very worthy charity. Canto Mundial are a truly international choir, based in Alfaz del Pí, with members from several different nations. Careline Theatre presents "SiINBAD" a Panto. A young man off to seek his fortune on the High Seas. Treachery, Love, and Hilarity along with his Cat, Cuddles Nine Lives, his Nurse, Moneygrabba and Rosie hisxlove. Not forgetting Betty Brunton his loveable Mam! Panto dates to be confirmed for 3rd week of January.

Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir  Our next performance after the very successful Music Overload concert of Oct 12, is our participation in a unique Christmas Fayre on Nov 24 in Salones Carrasco, Jávea. We will perform side by side with Montgo Chorale and Caprice surrounded by 75+ stalls of excellent Xmas gifts and organic food products. Famous songs we will sing together with our audience include Hey Jude from The Beatles and Memory. Also our favourite "You Raise Me Up" will be performed. All proceeds will go to The Friends of the Children of Emaus.

Jávea Players: How does one start along the road to reconciliation after an unimaginable crime has been committed? The mother of her murdered teenage son tries to make sense of her loss, whilst the perpetrator remains alive. This is an emotional play, not without humour, with all members of the family coping in their different ways, and also the murderer. As some of our non-resident members return for the winter, the Phoenix Dancers are back in the studio working on new routines. Having already enchanted the streets of Calpe with their Halloween dances, expect to see them included in the town's Christmas festivities as we start to get into the holiday atmosphere! TheatreSong Collective are a choir singing all musical theatre songs. They also include solos, duets and small group numbers in their concerts. The Vall del Pop Singers are currently inviting new singers to join them on Tuesday afternoons in Alcalalí. There is no requirement to read music and the group sing a selection of popular songs. Stage Diary South

 

Andante International Choir is  the only choir in the Costa Blanca community devoted to sacred choral works and classical pieces. They meet in Los Montesinos at Calle San Antonio, 4 on Thursday nights from 7.15pm until 9pm. All are welcome to join them. They especially need tenors and basses. Christmas songs and Carols are well under way at the Costa Blanca Singers rehearsals at the moment as we draw closer to the festive season. There are many dates available for you to attend a performance throughout December. You can find all details on the website www.costablancasingers.com. As is the case every December, there will be some surprises and unexpected songs in the set. You will know many of them and are invited to join in the singing and fun. Crescendo International Choir: Do you like to sing? Every Thursday evening Crescendo International Choir rehearses and we welcome new members. No previous experience required. Hooray. It's November at last. The Studio32 team have been rehearsing since July for this epic production and they are delighted to present 'The Studio32 Broadway Christmas'. The show runs at Cardinal Belluga Theatre for four nights only from Tuesday 26th to Friday 29th November. The remaining tickets are available online at Studiothirtytwo.org and at the seven outlets which can be found online at Studiothirtytwo.org. That is, if they haven't sold out by now. From the moment you take your seat, you will laugh, sing and maybe even dance. At our 2023 winter show, the audience danced and sang in the aisles and this epic performance will have you on your toes.
