Focus On Costa Blanca North Ed's Comments

I am writing this just before Christmas - the presents are wrapped, I've got the pigs in blankets and ginger snaps (only two things that are MUST HAVES in my house at Christmas) and the grandchildren are getting more excited by the day.
Darling daughter has been doing the elf on the shelf and both grandchildren (6 & 10) are being sooooo good. The 3 Kings came to school and the youngest has visited Santa - the eldest isn't so sure and asked darling daughter if she was Santa. Although she doesn't really believe she is still hedging her bets just in case and is keeping it real for her little brother.
They have always been told that the parents have to pay Santa for the presents so that they appreciate why some of their friends get more, or less, than them. It also makes them appreciate the value of the presents. There have been a few close calls as the Alexa in the house keeps making announcements of things being delivered. Fortunately darling daughter has managed to remove all trace. Technology at it's best and worse.
My resolution again for 2025 is to be as kind as I can be - and to eat less chocolate. Last year I think I kept the first - I definitely didn't keep the second.
A lot of people are hoping that 2025 is a better one than 2024, it was a rough one for so many. If we all try to put a little more kindness in each day then it will be a happier one for everyone.
Until next time, take care and be kind. Lesley

QFocus On Costa Blanca South Ed's Comments

We are already into January and the celebrations for the Christmas period are now a distant memory. Santa has been and gone, we have welcomed in 2025 and the Three Kings are on their way. Once again I overindulged in all the things that I probably shouldn't have. So now starts the resolutions, although what they are I have no idea as yet.... I am sure some inspiration will appear in the not so distant future.
We have a lot to look forward to you this year with the upcoming weddings of my nephew and then our son later on the year, and obviously the hen/ stag parties.
I think we have something happening every month throughout 2025 with some big birthdays approaching too, so it will no doubt be yet another year that passes by so quickly and we will be wishing everyone a Merry Christmas again before we know it.
Unfortunately I will be very surprised if we manage to find the time to have a holiday this year but at least there will be weekends away for the various celebrations.
I wish you all a very happy, healthy and Prosperous 2025
Until next time …. Michelle
