October is an important month for us with lots going on. The Focus On Costa Blanca North magazine is celebrating its birthday. From humble beginnings in 1993 it has grown into a respected magazine by advertisers and readers alike. As a company along the way we have added three more publications and are proud to be supporting the community, now more than ever, 31 years later. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this possible.
Also this month is darling daughter's birthday, gorgeous granddaughter's birthday and super sister-in-laws birthday. Fortunately only one out of the three gets presents.
At the end of the month is our local Moors and Christians so we will be doing a house swap with darling daughter and family as she is part of the event. With our apartment being above one of the groups 'kabila' where they party almost 24/7 for the week, and we need our sleep, it's a perfect swap - they are closer to their kabila and we are away from it all. Don't get me wrong, I love it and come into town to enjoy it - but glad to leave and sleep at their house each night....
This is then followed by Halloween - not sure who loves it the most. I think it is darling daughter over the grandchildren with her house decorations being something to behold including a giant spider which hangs down from the roof outside. We all get dressed up and join in the local charity event. Roll on November for a rest.....
Until next time, take care and be kind. Lesley

Early in September I had a night away with my two sisters to Altea. We found a lovely restaurant to dine at in the church square and it was a real pleasure to have some time just the three of us... already we are planning our next night away. If you haven't been to Altea then I would highly recommend it...only a short drive and it feels like you're truly on holiday with it's winding cobbled streets and little boutiques.
We then enjoyed a weekend in Mojacar which was a welcome break away although the weather was not in our favour. On arrival the heavens decided to open and we were forced to find a nearby venue to take cover and have some delicious tapas and indulge in a few beverages. As long as we could have some chill time that was all that mattered and we definitely achieved that.
Now this month feels like it's going to be another hectic month both on the work front as well as the social front ...the next Professional Services magazine will be out in November so I'm trying to plan ahead and the upcoming Macmillan events will also take up some of my time ...all for a good cause though.
Before we know it we will be planning Christmas all over again....
Until next time... Michelle
