Well Amsterdam and PINK did not disappoint. Our hotel was near the stadium so we bought travel tickets which lasted for the 3 days we were there. What a fantastic system where we could hop on and off buses and trains to get about the city. Everyone was so helpful, making sure we got on the right route when we were unsure. We packed a lot into the time we were there and visited places I wouldn't normally have considered, as it was more about my 9 year old granddaughter, but I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed all her choices and had a great time.
Of course the highlight was PINK whose concert coincided with the England Holland game. So many people were watching their phones with one eye and the stadium was an orange / pink mix. The Script and Gayle were also performing as well as a DJ who read the crowd perfectly. It was amazing and so much more. As soon as we went into the stadium all the people in front of us parted to let gorgeous granddaughter through and got her to the front - we were able to see her but honestly it would not have mattered as the people round her danced and sang with her and PINK smiled at her.
The holiday was finished on another high note when she was invited into the cockpit of the plane by the Spanish pilots and shown some of the controls.
Fabulous memories were made for the three of us.
Until next time, take care and be kind. Lesley.

Our weekend in Madrid was a welcome break and was very civilised with a bit of shopping combined with fabulous food and some delicious cocktails....just what the doctor ordered.
On our return, our lives took a different turn and things became very sad with the passing of our beloved mother, following a few weeks in and out of hospital. The staff at Torrevieja hospital were very comforting and attentive when the end was near and allowed us to be with her in her final moments. She is now no doubt enjoying her favourite tipple of whiskey & lemonade (something she was unable to do for many years due to health reasons) with our father and bending his ear like she always used to do....
Rest in peace Mam xxx
We didn't have any guests planned but following our sad news, my best friend from the UK arrived to be there for the family unannounced. This forced me to take some time out for myself and I actually found myself relaxing for the few days she was here, which was something I rarely do.
Now we have to move forward with our lives and remember the good times we shared... and try to learn to always make time for each other as life is far too short.
Until next time... Michelle
