The grandchildren's school have a policy that the last day is for the kids. They don't force them to do dances etc for the parents, they do games and activities that the parents can help organise, and the children enjoy. I didn't remember just how glittery, glitter is. After glitter tattooing a gazillion children I was breathing and eating glitter for days, and still have a lovely odd sparkle in my hair. It just gets everywhere. I hear it is getting phased out due to not being very planet friendly but I do hope they find an alternative as the kids love it.

Last year darling daughter and I took gorgeous granddaughter to see a PINK tribute in Benidorm. She was fantastic and after singing ourselves hoarse, granddaughter said she had had the best time and couldn't believe she had seen, and had her photo taken with PINK. At no point had it occurred to us that she thought she was the real thing. We did explain and fortunately it didn't matter to her at all. This month we are all going to Amsterdam to see the real PINK. Darling daughter has made us matching T-shirts, they are both going to have the tips of their hair 'pinked', we have love heart shaped pink sunglasses chosen by granddaughter, the nail polish is more than sufficiently pink, and to say we are beyond excited is an understatement. So lucky to be part of these special moments in their lives.
Until next time, take care and be kind. Lesley

Summer is finally here and with it comes the annual fiesta period in our local areas. This all starts with Rojales fiestas at the beginning of July, followed by Benijofar and Guardamar later in the month.

As things stand we don’t have any visitors over, so it should be a lot calmer than in previous years.

I’m off to Madrid to the Love the 90ś festival which will no doubt take me back to my youth and be a case of lots of dancing, partaking in a few beverages and sampling some delicious food. We may try to take in a little bit of Madrid culture but as we are only there a couple of days, time might well run away from us.

Later in July a few of us have booked tickets to see Black Eyed Peas in Alicante. They played in Torrevieja last year and were fabulous so I'm really looking forward to seeing them again.

I think I have finally found the balance between work and play and although we don't have any holidays booked this year we certainly have plenty of events coming up to keep me busy.
Until next time... Michelle
